For the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, the project included both a lessons learned component and a needs assessment. The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta commissioned Robertson Consulting Group to conduct a study of the effectiveness of its $11 million dollar initiative to resettle Hurricane Katrina evacuees and also to determine the current needs of evacuees in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
For the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice's Building Better Boards Initiative, Robertson Consulting Group reviewed best practices as part of the program development. We are now the program evaluator on the initiative for Gulf Coast Community Foundation and two other Building Better Boards initiatives (in North Carolina and Wisconsin) modeled on this program.
For Florida Gulf Coast University, Robertson Consulting Group is the external evaluator for three projects, including Transition to Teach, a five-year federally-funded program to increase the number of qualified teachers.
For the United Way of Lee County, Robertson Consulting Group conducts the annual Community Assessment, and has done so since 2000. This project combines quantitative and qualitative data: indicator data, focus groups, interviews, and an inventory.
For Florida Studio Theatre, Robertson Consulting Group has conducted an annual program evaluation of the Write A Play program (2000-present) that documents learning and developmental outcomes. In addition, we have conducted two studies to aid in organizational learning: a lessons learned assessment of the Audience Enrichment effort and a study of Florida Studio Theatre's culture and its impact on operations.
